I started to rediscover the pleasure of traveling when I landed a job that could feed my passion for it. The term is "rediscover" because I always knew it was in me and I just didn't have the means when I was a student and not yet making my own money. When I was a kid, the roaring of the engine of the bus going to the next town was enough to fill me with joy. The green rural scenery passing by, aboard the bus, was like a church, a place where I always find God because of the serenity and peace it brings forth to my soul. I guess you could feel that too, that's why you're here and reading this blog. I am aware that we are all travelers inside. We love to explore places, if only we are not limited by financial and time resources. For some people, it is to escape the drudgery of the 9-5 life. For some, it is the drum that keeps beating in their hearts and there's no way to deal with it but go. For some it means rest, for others it means adrenaline. For me, it means both. With the advent of promo fares from local airlines, traveling has been democratized that every Juan could already fly without breaking the bank. They offer great value to everyone who wants to get away and take a breather, even for just one weekend. This idea was way impossible when I was a kid. When I was a kid and I saw an airplane taking off, it always brought a weird pain in my heart, because I knew at that time we will never be able to afford flying. I’ve always thought they were only for the rich. Cebu Pacific changed that and there’s great value to it. Now every Juan can fly. With that same idea of giving value to people, I wanted to give travelers like me the chance to see Albay in a much more affordable and flexible way that would not break their bank. It's not unusual to be ripped off when you travel. Now every Juan can enjoy Albay and see the majestic Mayon Volcano and the equally fantastic neighboring towns. This is the reason why Weekend In Bicol was born with the affordable packages.
It’s a package designed by a traveler for fellow travelers.
